 James is an artist,poet & carpenter, born in West Virginia in the year of our Lord . He currently has his shop/gallery in the Hill Country of central Texas. He has been designing then creating functional arts for over 40 years............in the form of antique-modern store counters - sculptures in wood- anything. Form and Function is not enough- a piece should Speak.

In Us there is a desire to have in our Business or Home something innately beautiful, something conscious and proud, a visual object that provides a sense of calm because it was crafted within feng shui.

Artists are missionaries of beauty. I stood a several years ago in front of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night', a painting I've always understood, the natural Stars of Heaven are glorious yet the artist painted them spiritually.

I love each piece I recognize first, then design,sanding and polishing each to life and function. I also try to keep it, like Truth - perfectly simple yet profound. There is a certain Serenity imparted in viewing many of these creations that at times I succeed in rising to. I know I can't create that sensation, I just see it is there before it is made.

At a show in Houston recently I had the 'Coming Alive' fossil art piece on display. A woman and her daughter walked up and the child was touching the egg, the mother apologized and I said: ' 'No, it's okay, I want you to want to touch it - she's just connecting'.

I have been fortunate enough to connect to other Visionaries throughout the U.S. and Canada and I have sales counters-reception desks-kitchen islands-executive desks in Times Square, Google Corp. Hdqrts, Manhatten Ave to Nashville etc. etc.
